Welcome to Cockadilly ...where the loudest sound is the river. |
"Cockadilly" is a secluded 10-acre property, named after the adjacent Cockadilly Range. It is located on the pristine Gloucester River and has ½ kilometre of direct river frontage, which includes deep swimming pools, 'spa' rapids and shallows. |
Cockadilly has two separate modern dwellings which are able to accommodate up to 14 people (more when camping). For large groups, both dwellings may be rented together, but in the case of only one residence being booked, you still retain full use of the entire property!
Cockadilly is an easy drive from Sydney (approx. 3 hours), Forster/Tuncurry (approx. 1½ hours) & Tamworth (approx. 2½ hours) and is just 26 kilometres from Gloucester township itself. It is also just a short drive from the world heritage areas of the Barrington Tops and Gloucester Tops National Parks.
Cockadilly is the perfect place from which to visit the picturesque local districts of Gloucester, Barrington, Stroud, Dungog and Scone, or to enjoy golfing, horse riding, canoeing, fishing (mullet, perch and trout) or bushwalking. Or you may just enjoy simply staying put at Cockadilly, relaxing and reading by the beautiful Gloucester River or spotting some of our native fauna, which includes kangaroos, wallabies, echidna and platypus.
